If you're having problems editing or saving member data, this article will explain the mandatory fields setting.

As the member database has numerous required data fields, you can't add or edit and then save a data field if there are mandatory fields missing.

If you just want to add or edit a couple of data fields, but the member doesn't already have all of the required data fields, you will continue to get a notification on the bottom right of your screen indicating the name of the missing required data field. 

Member data cannot be saved until all required fields are provided.

Sure it could be annoying, so we added a toggle switch to "Allow Mandatory Fields to be automagically filled with a Default value. 

Simply turn on the toggle switch to have the Save function add "Unknown" to any missing data field.
